Guten Tag,

Kicking Horse today for the 3x children’s and junior FIS group – 20cm’s overnight / 45cm’s + in the last couple of days…epic according to Jennifer, Chad, Trent and Jennifer – Louis Muhlen takes ‘stack of the day honors’ w. a massive stack in one of the back bowl...one of his skis hung up in a cliff band in the stack...we are hopeful that patrol were able to repel in this afternoon to retrieve it...fingers crossed.  Awesome effort from all today - particularly the C1 & C2 girls...very well done - ready for anything and adapting to new challenges...!

GS at Nakiska for senior FIS group – 8x timed runs + technical prep for AM session – we were lucky enough to train w. John Kucera today (we’ll train w. John again tomorrow in GS - & next week in Super G / GS) – Chri a little more than 2 seconds behind … good game plan in place to trim down the margin for tomorrow – Iain not far off Chri, figuring a few things out in GS.  First full volume day for Djoeke today (yahoo) after a niggling rib injury – Alia out for the morning w. knee pain, good technical skiing in the afternoon – rock solid from Hamish today in GS…looking forward to a fast day tomorrow – technical skiing in the afternoon w. focus on powerful hip (square and tall) at the top of the turn to drive speed down through the arc – playing around w. holding onto the turn longer in GS (long in the arc – short in the transition)

Ola from temperate Canmore - pretty good day today - “unreal” and “awesome” appeared to be the two most commonly used words to describe the day at Lake Louise – new snow, good weather, lots of bumps and loads of challenging terrain – by all accounts, the crew was on fire today…they head off to Kicking Horse tomorrow for another day of all mountain skills and all mountain challenge.

For the Nakiska group - 2x sessions of SL training on Whoop Up (awesome terrain) followed by 6x runs of GS drills - pillar strength & stability session for the rehab group (Alia & Djoeke) and power lift for the boys - looking forward to a big day tomorrow – full length GS on Mapmaker w. John Kucera and Manny Osborne Paradis from the Canadian Men’s team – both are world cup winners, Johnny World Champion in DH 2009 – good opportunity to set up the timing and see where we’re at vs the big boys…the dudes are excited for tomorrow
