Congratulations to all the K1 athletes on a job well done today
Race 1
· Jacqui Allen – DSQ, great run until she missed a few gates near the end. Congrats on her first kinder kombi racing experience. We’re looking for a great day tomorrow.
· Sam Cornelius – 52nd, good run, bit of a skid on the first pitch, and had a crash through the rollers. Great effort and fight to get back into the course
· Annie Hough – 4th, solid run from Annie, great job!
· Lachy Hofbauer – 10th, great run from Lachy coming from bib 57.
Race 2
· Jacqui Allen – DNF, came out on the first gate. She got a little too aggressive and put her tip into the first gate and came out. We’re looking for a great day tomorrow.
· Same Cornelius – 56th, a little hesitant on the pitch, but good effort. Good first day to get rid of the butterfly’s, looking for a fast day tomorrow.
· Annie Hough – 7th, another good run from Annie. Again, got day one out of the way, with nothing to lose tomorrow.
· Lachy Hofbauer – 24th, Good start to the run with a costly mistake near the end. Great athleticism to stay in the track and finish the run.
All the gals & guy had a good day (some ups and downs), but overall good. We had a great round table discussion about what worked, what didn’t, and what can be improved on, and we think everyone is in a good frame of mind for tomorrow - check out the pics below from Jenn's camera
